Our welcome

December 28, 2008

I created this blog in August. Since Cameron, our then, 8-year-old son had just been diagnosed with leukemia in July, I don’t think I quite knew what to do with this forum.

I had also started a Care Page that I post on frequently, in order to update family and friends on Cameron’s condition, treatments, and progress. We also ask for prayer and share our family stories.

However, with this blog, I wanted to do something a little different.

It has now been a few months, and with all that I’ve learned through this, I’ve decided to make this more about my journey with Cameron and our 7 other children (and of course, my wonderful husband) as we travel these unknown paths.

You need to know that we are faithful Christians and truly believe that God is in control at ALL times. We have surrendered our lives, and this journey to Him and trust that whatever the outcome may be, He always knows what is best.

Our one request of you, our readers is that you respect our faith and not question it.
You will find scripture all throughout my posts, and I pray that you will find hope and healing through God’s inspired words, regardless of the roads you travel.

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'” Matthew 17:20

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

“Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Furthermore, if you are interested in following Cameron’s journey, filled with stories of how God has been faithful in providing for us, how He has carried through this journey of leukemia, and of how Cameron is “paying it forward” to others in need, you may join us at: http://www.carepages.com/carepages/CameronMarshall

I hope you’ll feel welcome here.

Praising God for today & trusting Him for tomorrow,
Elena
